Methodology
The index answers one question for each site and agent: what has been publicly established about whether this agent can do this task here?
What counts as a source
- Company confirmed: a statement from the site's company, given directly or quoted by a named outlet (for example, a spokesperson speaking to CNBC or TechCrunch).
- Press reported: reporting by a named outlet that isn't a direct company statement.
- User reported: user reports that a named outlet has relayed. We don't publish unvetted social posts as statuses.
Statuses
| Blocked | Company confirmed (or credible press reports) that it blocks this agent, or all outside agents, for this task |
| Restricted | Allowed only under conditions (paid license, read-only, written permission) or a specific task is barred |
| Reported issue | Users report failures, relayed by press; not confirmed by the site |
| Allowed | Site publicly says it allows consumer agents (anti-bot systems may still interfere) |
| Partner | Publicly announced partnership allowing this agent |
| Unknown | No verified public report. Not the same as 'works' |
Scope rules
- If a company's policy covers all outside agents, every agent's cell gets that status, and the cell says the agent wasn't named individually.
- If users report that "their agent" fails without naming which one, the site gets a note, but the cells stay unknown.
- Each cell records the task it applies to, such as "moving money" or "ticket booking." A block on one task isn't a block on the whole site.
Review process
Anyone can submit a change with an https source. Submissions go into a review queue and never reach the index directly. An editor approves a change only after confirming the source's publisher and date. Every approval and rejection is logged, and a status change creates a public changelog entry and triggers alerts.
What we don't do
We don't run synthetic bots against tracked sites, log in to anything, scrape, or test bot defenses. We don't build, sell, or link to tools that bypass CAPTCHAs, spoof identities, or evade anti-bot systems.
Independence
Statuses are never for sale. Any future paid or verified listing will be labeled and kept separate from the index, and it can't override a cited status.
